Scripture: Revelation 22: 12-14  “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.  “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Last Sunday we celebrated Jesus' resurrection.  The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is to say the least profound.  Let us not forget why He came, because that is even more baffling.  God did it all for us, because God loves us.  You may not find what you need in this world, but know that God is there for you in all God's glory.  Be there for God.  Allow the truth of this world to be as it is, imperfect and sometimes down right evil.  Not so with God, there are times when we press onward not understanding what is occurring (2 Cor 5:7), but there are other times you see evidence of God all around.  If you have difficulty seeing God in your life, remember you need to have faith (Hebrews 11:6) and you need to really look and pray for it.  Always know that God is present, so reach out to God in prayer and let your concerns flow (1 Peter 5:7).  But keep in mind one more thing, Jesus Christ is coming back.  Jesus is not an absentee landlord.  It is easy to get lost in all the news and issues we are bombarded by on TV, the internet, and, if you still partake, the paper.  Folks, do not let what is going on steal your joy.  When things start getting tough, look to the hills and smile ( Psalm 121).  Do not try to figure out how God will do it, just be faithful and live the life Jesus calls each of us to live.  And who knows, maybe you will see the last great cosmic event of God's plan, the return of Jesus Christ.

Pray with me..., Holy God, You have blessed our lives in so many ways.  Hear our praise.  When times get difficult, help us to hear Your Spirit speak to ours and remind us, You are the Alpha and Omega.  We can put our trust in You.  Lord, hear us as we pray for those who are near and dear to our hearts.  Bless them, we pray, according to their needs.  And, bless our church, so we can be the church You call us to be, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

God's peace,

Pastor Brian
